Warehouse Inventory Clerk

Location: Indianapolis facility

We are looking for a Warehouse Inventory Clerk to join our team and help manage our inventory. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that all items are properly stored and labeled, and helping to maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, be able to work independently and have a strong attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

  • Pull and ship orders according to specific job requirements and timelines, ensuring accuracy and secure packaging.
  • Receive service job returns, inspect items for damage or defects, and update relevant documentation.
  • Receive, verify, log, and stock incoming shipments.
  • Restock shelves, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, including job numbers, tracking numbers, and delivery dates.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with incoming or outgoing shipments.
  • Collaborate with the service and shop teams to optimize workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure sales orders are processed accurately and timely.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma. 
  • Post high school technical/business school not required, but preferred. 
  • 3+ years of customer service/success experience. 
  • Must be dependable/reliable. 
  • Available to work a minimum of 8 hours during a business day. 
  • Onsite work location in Indianapolis. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills are essential. 
  • Ability to multi-task between several customer situations simultaneously. 
  • Consistent sense of urgency with problem solving and decision-making skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are needed to work well within the entire organization, at all levels. 
  • Motivated to continuously exceed customer success expectations. 
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision as well as within a team, to accomplish desired goals. 
  • Flexibility to stay after hours as needed to follow an active issue to resolution. 
  • Willingness to take the initiative to ensure timely completion of tasks that impact on-time completion of jobs. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office. 
  • Prior experience operating forklifts is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills — able to prioritize tasks, adapt, and keep orders organized.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify operational improvements.
  • Basic computer literacy and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication skills — ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Physical ability to safely perform job functions which require continuous viewing of a computer screen, repetitive typing and data entry as well as a high percentage of standing & sitting.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, as well as be able to frequently kneel, bend, squat, sit and twist. Ability to regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
